
We have been proud to bring the best seafood and Carolina-style barbeque to Edisto Island at our first two restaurants, Ella & Ollie’s and Briny Swine. Since 2016, we have called these restaurants home and, y’all, our family.
Like so many operators nationwide, we have continued to face challenges due to rising supply costs and staffing in the post-pandemic era, making it nearly impossible for the business to remain profitable. After careful thought and consideration, we decided the time is right to pass the torch here on the island. One of our dear, longtime friends and colleagues is currently in talks to take over the lease and introduce a new offering. You’ll hear those juicy details soon. It's a bittersweet moment, but delicious things are in store in the future.
And this isn’t goodbye. Edisto is home and we’ll be back often. More than anything, this is a big ol’ thank you to every guest, team member, farmer, producer, fisherman and supporter who has been on this journey with us. Because of you, we can now bring the Briny goodness to Chicago and beyond. When you’re out our way, holler – you know Brandon’s always got the Langs fired up and a heapin’ plate with your name on it.
